We want AI and player ships to do furious space races. Implement a system (checkpoints or whatever you like) which allows those races.
A first version has already been implemented, but there are still some open tasks:
- Multi player support.
- Make the checkpoints easier to handle in xml, by implementing a waypoint manager in C++.
- Until now a space race level is linear. One should be able to create bifurcations in a race.
- Create AI for spaceraces.
- The race starts immediately after entering the level. A count down after entering the level would be more user friendly. (note that the player's engine should be turned off as long as the countdown hasn't finished.)
