Create an editor to point-n-click and drag-n-drop levels. XML export is already possible with Orxonox, now we need a suitable interface. We need a intuitive steering, control commands, input fields for parameters, different views (top, side, 3D, …).
Create a modular framework that allows enclosing editor features in different modules. Possible modules are:
- add objects, edit parameters
- 3D model viewer (and allow placement of the current model)
- cutscene creator
- create and connect events
- particle editor
- …

Instead of creating a whole new editor, we could just use Blender as a level editor and write an exporter for Blender instead. Basically just a 'Blender scene' to 'Orxonox level' exporter.
This would solve all of the above points, except "create and connect events". However this could also be achieved by a simple Blender Addon, specifically made for Orxonox or by abusing the node system from the Blender Game Engine.
