Big Ships

Description

Create a big space vessel.

You will not only have to create the model in blender and texture it, but think about how it should act when being shot at (different parts of the ship can be destroyed separately), to that end it would be helpful to create separate models that are only joined to the full ship in XML (or C++), this would also work better with LoD (Level of Detail).

I want to add, that you should also think about the purpose of the ship. Is it a military vessel that is able to destroy everything in its path or is it a transporter needed to transport huge amounts of resources and goods to space colonies. It can also be a ferry, where smaller ships will dock and then the vessel will transport people and ships to the next destination. All these ideas are supported by the universe/story and we are in dire need for big vessels.

In the autmn semester 2012 a model of a big ship "Planet Destroyer" already has been created. But the texture quality should be improved. Furthermore it need quite detailled collisionshapes and last but not least the behaviour of a big ship.

The turret should also be attached to this ship.
